Registered Representative

Michael (Mike) has over 35 years of financial services experience as a wealth consultant.  He has built a highly successful practice around investments, retirement, and estate planning as well as income tax return preparation.

Mike is a practicing CPA since 1981 and a CFP® professional since 1987.  He became a Certified Financial Fiduciary (CFF) in 2019 and, as such, is required to do what he has always done:  put his clients’ best interests first.

His clients appreciate his willingness to meet them at their home or office as a place of their utmost comfort and convenience.  Mike is a financial problem solver, designing financial strategies that seek to achieve client goals and objectives, from the most basic to the most complex.

Mike graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1977, earning his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in just three years.  He then enrolled at the University of Michigan and earned his MBA in 1979.  He is first and foremost a Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan but also follows Michigan Wolverine football.

He has served as Finance Committee chairman of his local church on two separate occasions.  At a previous church, he taught family budgeting classes in the 1980s during Houston’s economic downturn, helping well over 500 families learn to live within their means.

Mike met his wife Susie at Second Baptist Church-Houston.  They have been happily married since 1986 and reside in Sugar Land, Texas.   They are both active in donating their time and energy to faith-based non-profits that combat child trafficking, provide clean drinking water to developing countries with Living Water International, and promote gospel outreach through Athletes in Action.  They enjoy traveling, attending musicals, watching college basketball, and exercising their Labrador retriever(s).   They can be seen walking or biking together in their neighborhood.
